~What role does Power play in government, economy, and politics?~

First of all i would like to begin answering this question by saying that power plays a role in all parts of this queston. The best way the book dexcribe power being mixed in is with the quote on page 39. The book states "The politics of power is affected by the capitalist organization of the economy, and the capitalist organization of the economy is affected, in turn, by the democratic political system." The quote is saying that capitalism runs through politics and government and economy and brings them all together. At this lets define capitalism. Capitalism is a economic system in which means of prouction are privately owned and operated for a private profit. Since everything is privately owned the first things that comes to mind are large companies. Lare companies grow and strive in order to make profit. The largest companies are the ones that have the highest profits and they have an ifluence on he government and on politics. The government is interted in the large companies because with the large companies operating it give more juice to the country. The politicians wil also hint for citizens to shop at large companies. The biggest part of government being intrested in large companies are stocks. With stocks being available to all citizens they allow people to invest their money into the companies. the stock of a contry have a big meaning to the countries well being. With the stock market scewed, meaning every citizens does not own stock and its mostly the wealthy people, the governement and the politicians nfluence other citizens to shop at large companies. The better the company does the more shares are sold and the happier the government is.The following picture is a little humor for the situation.

Do  you think that government should influence citizens to shop at big companies?
